A raft of development agencies representing emerging automotive nations once again proved to be very popular with visitors at this year’s European Automotive Components Expo.

One of the busiest booths was that of CEAGA, which represents the Galician region in Spain. “Fifteen out of every 100 vehicles currently produced in Spain are manufactured in Galicia,” said Anna Suarez, assistant manager. “The companies that are members of CEAGA produce 80% of a vehicle from simplest parts to the most complex.


OPEN TECHNOLOGY FORUM 2008



European Automotive Components Expo is an international exhibition of OEM and Tier 1 and 2 automotive component suppliers with a strong emphasis on new-generation electronics and materials technologies staged in Messe Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany, on 6, 7, 8 May 2008.

Held alongside Vehicle Dynamics Expo and Engine Expo, visitors to Stuttgart will be able to see the full spectrum of the latest automotive components, ranging from chassis systems, braking systems, and underhood technologies and a wide range of advanced materials and electronics systems.

PLUS: the adjoining Automotive Testing Expo and Crash Test Expo will showcase hundreds of leading R&D and testing technologies. In all, over 600 international automotive suppliers will be exhibiting.

A trade fair that attracts visitors from all over the world (attendees came from more than 35 countries to last year’s event), European Automotive Components Expo 2008 showcases innovations in areas including:
